An aluminium suite brings matched pieces together with coordinated frames, finishes, and cushions. Our lounge suites typically pair single and multi-seater pieces with a coffee table, while dining suites combine a table with matching chairs finished in the same colourway. Timber-look tabletops and woven wicker or rope detailing add natural texture to the aluminium frame, and finishes are consistent across each suite for a coordinated look. Most aluminium suites include cushions designed for outdoor use.
Why Aluminium Works Outdoors
Powder-coated aluminium frames are corrosion-resistant and stay lightweight, so they're easy to move without losing structural strength. Aluminium is rust-resistant, and unlike timber, it doesn't need oiling or sealing to hold up outdoors. We finish aluminium frames with timber-look coatings, wicker, or woven rope to bring natural warmth to a low-maintenance frame, available in various colours depending on the setting.
Cushions and Comfort
Most aluminium settings include cushions with weather-resistant fabrics, UV-resistant, water-repellent, and mildew-resistant. Most cushions feature removable, washable covers over quick-dry foam cores. Seat cushions provide firm support, while back and lounge cushions offer comfortable angles for extended relaxing. Choosing the Right Size
Measure your outdoor space before selecting an aluminium setting. A 4-seater dining suite typically needs 200-250cm of clear space, while 6-8 seater round or rectangular settings require closer to 300cm. Extending 12-seater tables need at least 350-400cm when fully extended, so measure for the extended length even if you won't use it every day. Sunlounges need roughly 200cm in length to allow for reclining, and bar chair settings work best with at least 90cm of clearance per chair for comfortable seating. Leave at least 60cm around any dining or lounge suite for movement.
Care and Maintenance
Aluminium frames need only occasional washing with mild soap and water to stay looking their best, no oiling, sealing, or specialist treatment required. Regular cleaning prevents salt, pollen, and debris buildup, particularly in coastal areas. Always refer to the care instructions included with your furniture for guidance specific to your finish.
